Rediscovering my own inperfections

During the last several years I've been reminded of things I had long overlooked and even in some cases forgotten. I have have 3 kids hence the title of this blog. My oldest did not speak til she was nearly 4 and as time has passed has been diagnosed (per the school, and suspicions of Dr's) of being ADD though I feel she is also dyslexic. My middle was presumed ADD last year in first grade and is now showing some tendancies of dyslexia. Thankfully my youngest his only issue is speech and is an all around intelligent child. But discovering their flaws in learning has lead me to remember my stuggles as a child. And with those struggles I am trying to give the girls guidance to cope w/o the aid of meds. Some of the things they do I remember doing. I had tried to call the district in which I grew up in and was told they don't keep the records beyond transcripts once you graduate. My Mother before she had passed had only said "they told me you needed the help" but never truly what my learning issues were. It has been interesting trying to remember what I did and how I learned to cope. I recall being pulled out for extra help in the same areas as the girls but not labeled LD as they are today. It hurts to know they struggle the way I did and in some instances more than I ever did in the classroom. Overtime I had forgotten my academic woes and have rediscovered them within my own children. I am hoping we can find our path thru intervention at school, reading tutors, and time.

Everyday online acitivy equals gift cards

I love cashing out my SwagBucks account for Amazon Gift Cards. Swagbucks is a great site to earn by doing everyday online tasks like watching videos, searching, answering polls, participating in surveys, and many more methods to earn. I usually cash out for gift cards as a reward for my participation. You do get up to 1000 referral points for each referral (based on what they earn on the site) and that helps earn a lot. I try to save my gc's for the holidays and birthdays .

Search & Win

Thru the help of friends online I've been working harder on earning my swagbucks. They've also helped me discover a few things via smart phone I can also earn. I've cashed out on CheckPoints several times now and I really enjoy this site, little effort, and you can earn while you are on the go with it being a mobile app. Users enjoy a one time sign up bonus as well as the person whom referred them. Give it a try go to your favorite app store and download CheckPoints. For a signup bonus enter code: 3Snugglebunnies

cook'n up a storm of chicken

Well today most Wisconsinites are out to cast their vote in today's primary. Since I was out on the other side of town I check out a store I don't go to often since they moved. Well I found about 30lbs of chicken quarters on mark down for .48/lb. I could of made if 40 BUT one of the bags was puffy and that's a no-no when buying meat so I had to pass on that bag. So this afternoon to make sure I have room I am baking up pans of chicken quarters. I will remove the fat and take them off the bone and cut the cooked meat up. Then I'm going to put the cooked meat in zip bags in my freezer. So then when we want chicken for say something like fried rice, chicken salad, quesadilla's, or chicken alfredo it's already cooked and I just need to warm it up. Quick, easy, and cheap eats for the family.

What to say....

I've thought about starting a blog for a very long time. I just had no idea what would be a good topic for a blog. My only idea was to just post whatever comes to mind and I guess that's just what I'll do.
